SURVEYING & INSPECTIONS
AERIAL SURVEYING & INSPECTIONS
Whether you need aerial surveying or inspections, RedKite Dynamics are experienced in providing high quality, stabilised drone footage in commercial and construction environments.
Our team have more than 60 years combined experience in the engineering and construction industry, managing numerous commercial and construction sites throughout the UK and around the world.
Not only can we make sure we get the best aerial shots, we can also deliver all your ground-based needs too – including photography, video and inspection services support.
Our pilots at RedKite Dynamics use drones to provide detailed information that can be analysed on the ground before human lives are placed in potentially hazardous situations.
Significantly reduce inspection time and cost whilst enhancing safety.
These visual inspections can save valuable time and money by providing highly detailed imagery of difficult or dangerous access areas of structures that might need maintenance or repair.
Using our cutting edge camera technology, we can safely investigate live structures – allowing our clients to see real-time footage, highlighting unseen possible problems before starting physical inspections – therefore reducing health and safety risks.
We work with trained engineers to produce specific inspection reports consisting of GPS geo-localisation analysis, high-resolution photography and footage for close visual inspections.
DRONE SURVEYS & MAPS
Our drones, which use advanced modelling and analysis software, can provide you with detailed digital images so that you can easily monitor your projects.
This technique is more cost-effective than traditional approaches. Unlike satellite data, we can capture on-demand maps at a much higher resolution. And being able to fly quite low means we're not affected by cloud.
The resolution of our maps is usually 3cm per pixel (3cm GSD). We can also process the data to deliver full 3D terrain models (e.g. DSM, DTM .OBJ) and the accuracy of the 3D data. A large part of surveying is to export the data straight into Auto-CAD or Revit using .DXF files providing accurate contour lines. We aim for this to be 15mm-50mm accuracy.
These outputs are fully geo-referenced to OSGB 1936, meaning measurements and calculations can be taken directly from them. This can be convenient for basic distance, area and slope calculations right up to stockpile volume analysis.

Progress imagery of construction sites from start to finish can be easily achieved with aerial shots. We can stitch together large collections of images to create one high resolution image.
